女用八角型禮帽 Women’s Octagonal Ceremonial Hat
原住民族文化發展中心
女用八角型禮帽為自家舉行主屋及工作房落成典禮、水芋田除穢、豐收儀式、採收慶典和祭儀用的芋禮、大小船下水典禮，或是受邀參與他村親友所舉行的慶典等時所戴。本件八角禮帽是年長女性所戴，其文化意義相當於男子所戴的銀盔。因為是木製，重量約2公斤多，在慶典儀式等場合才會配戴。

船飾為造型獨特的渦捲人形木雕綁上黑色雞毛，放置於高聳的船頭和船尾龍骨最高處，船飾除了裝飾的功能，也兼具榮耀象徵和驅邪保護的功能。
