"desc": "Due to the pandemic, many researchers switched to working from home, which also affected their work efficiency and number of working hours. <br><br>Studies have shown that female researchers have found it harder to devote the same time to their research than male researchers. "desc": "Studies have shown that the relational mobility is associated with the spread of infected disease and the difficulty of preventing the pandemic. Relational mobility refers to the extent to which it is easy to engage with strangers and make new friends, i.e. to form new relationships in any given society.<br><br>If the relational mobility is low, people will have a high degree of familiarity with the people around them. "desc": "<div><span>Although the pandemic has severely impacted the global economy, it seems that the planet has had a little respite due to people working from home, mass flight cancellations, and lockdowns. For example, in the first half of 2020, carbon dioxide emissions dropped. According to the Global Carbon Project, the carbon footprint in 2020 reduced by 7%, especially in the United States and European Union countries.<br></span><br><span>However, we can’t afford to be too optimistic. "desc": "The “new normal\" resulting from the pandemic is a common as well as new psychological experience for people all over the world. Long-distance, online interaction actually brings a sense of fatique. When faced with the resulting uncertainty, pandemic news, vaccine effects, and the characteristics of the virus have all made people more alert. <br><br>Overall, ‘in-groups’ - the familiar inner social circles - have worked together to fight the epidemic, strengthening their cohesion and becoming more united.<br><span><br>However, it is another story for the ‘out-groups’. "desc": "Conspiracy theories affect a democratic society, causing many people to neglect the pursuit of facts and perceiving things in a confused way. It therefore becomes difficult to reach a consensus on public issues, and easier to fall into ideological polarization. After a major event, if conspiracy theories are focused on blaming one particular ethnic group, an emotional rift between ethnic groups, as well as other consequences, easily occur.<br><br><span>In the US, conspiracy theories cause people to mistakenly believe that \"the pandemic is false news\" and reduce public willingness to cooperate with the government's pandemic prevention policies. The public shows reluctance to wear masks or maintain social distancing, and resists city lockdowns.<br></span><br><span>However, people’s anxieties still need to be eased.
