[英文]This is a scene showing the Emperor--behind the table and curtain. Sardi--the villain of the play is on the right. Sardi kidnaps the beautiful maiden. whose parents areshown on the picture on the opposite page (gr0198). The parents try everything in their power to get their daughter back. The beautiful maiden, however, refuses to marry him--and finally her feance rescues her-and Sardi is brought to trial.
