民國55年6月18日,影星凌波、金漢夫婦抵達松山機場。到場接機的各界人士和爭睹偶象風采的影迷們,把機場擠得水洩不通。兩人隨後在台北市第一飯店接受記者訪問。隔天中午,3百多名「凌波助學會」的會員們在台北市中山堂光復廳舉行餐會,歡宴凌波、金漢夫婦。

民國53年6月20日,民航空運公司一班由台中飛往台北的班機,於起飛後5分鐘爆炸墜毀在台中縣神岡鄉三角村。機上57人全部罹難。

民國51年6月,為拍攝電影《吳鳳》,導演卜萬蒼和工作人員到嘉義蒐集吳鳳相關資料。一行人在嘉義火車站下車後,陸續前往阿里山忠王祠、吳鳳公成仁紀念碑、吳鳳墓、阿里山神木、吳鳳鄉山胞廟堂達邦會場、吳鳳鄉公所、吳鳳中學大門等處。影片中還記錄了電影的手繪佈景圖,佈景美術組依圖搭景。

民國51年,導演卜萬蒼拍攝電影《吳鳳》盛大的原住民舞蹈場面。主演張美瑤、王引和王琛,在拍攝結束後與參訪貴賓及舞者一一握手合影。最後大家一起同歡共舞。

民國55年7月28日下午3點半,由麗聲影業公司新建的「國聲大戲院」在台北市寧夏西路舉行開幕典禮。戲院外擺滿了花圈,入場觀眾將戲院擠得水洩不通。開幕典禮由立法院院長黃國書主持,寶島玉女張美瑤前來剪綵。典禮之後,戲院放映由美國環球公司所出品的間諜片 《美國國家安全局》(Blindfold)。
