民國55年6月18日，影星凌波、金漢夫婦抵達松山機場。到場接機的各界人士和爭睹偶象風采的影迷們，把機場擠得水洩不通。兩人隨後在台北市第一飯店接受記者訪問。隔天中午，3百多名「凌波助學會」的會員們在台北市中山堂光復廳舉行餐會，歡宴凌波、金漢夫婦。

第11屆亞洲影展活動「中國之夜」於民國53年（1964）6月17晚上在中華體育館舉行。復興劇校的學生們以平劇「搖錢樹」揭開活動序幕，接著中國歷代婦女服裝表演，由方盈飾妲己，于倩飾楊貴妃，張美瑤飾珍妃，國聯四鳳穿晚清民間服裝，唐寶雲飾小鳳仙，莫愁穿民初服。
張美瑤榮歸故里

民國53年12月6日，榮獲十大影星第三名的張美瑤回到故鄉南投縣埔里鎮，乘坐吉普車向鄉親們致謝，受到數萬鄉親的熱烈歡迎。當晚，張美瑤出席南投縣埔里鎮扶輪社成立大會，並由埔里扶輪社陳社長贈送張美瑤紀念章，接著舉行熱烈的「張美瑤之夜」，有精采的合唱團歌唱及舞蹈節目。

國聲大戲院揭幕

民國55年7月28日下午3點半，由麗聲影業公司新建的「國聲大戲院」在台北市寧夏西路舉行開幕典禮。戲院外擺滿了花圈，入場觀眾將戲院擠得水洩不通。開幕典禮由立法院院長黃國書主持，寶島玉女張美瑤前來剪綵。典禮之後，戲院放映由美國環球公司所出品的間諜片 《美國國家安全局》（Blindfold）。
