Vase
詳細資料
This vase is decorated with designs in horizontal bands, divided by raised rings carved in the paste. The globular body, seated on a raised and flared foot incised with a geometric key fret, is separated into two thick bands filled with ornate cloud scrolls above and opened lotus blossoms below. A band of decoration on the shoulder is incised with a strong of ruyi heads, motifs deriving from the scepters of Buddhist monastic leaders. Three bands of decorative relief also appear on the tall neck of the vase; at the time, the mouth flares out into a shallow disk. A transparent glaze with greenish tinge covers the pure white body of the vase.
