"desc": "1950年代的冷戰背景下，美國藉由標誌著「自由即興」的爵士樂，與當時親近左翼陣營的緬甸進行文化外交。美國官方的影像紀錄，強調個人主義、自由平等、尊重多元的價值，「爵士樂大使」的外交照片中，來自美國的爵士樂手皆是鏡頭的焦點——他們不是被當地人簇擁喝采，就是虛心學習當地文化。然而，當地的音樂家在這種單一強勢的論述下，身穿正式緬服、教導Benny Goodman嗩吶音階的U Myat Gyi<span>，成為照片中那來自非自由國家的佚名音樂製造者。<br></span><i><b><br></b></i>時隔四十多年，緬甸在長期鎖國後逐漸開放，U Myat Gyi成為眾多外國學者學習、訪問的對象，渴望掀開緬甸音樂的神秘面紗。<i><b><br></b></i>",

"desc": "美國從1950年代中葉至1970年代派遣海外的「爵士樂大使」，包含艾靈頓公爵（Duke Ellington, 1899-1974）與貝西公爵（Duke Basie, 1904-1984），都曾到訪緬甸。60年代緬甸轉向社會主義陣營，爵士鋼琴家艾靈頓公爵彼時到訪緬甸，不僅代表兩國外交上的突破，美國也透過爵士樂手與緬甸青年的互動，將音樂外交塑造為推動民主自由理念的手段，緬甸政府則藉由外交場合，營造新生代菁英領政的意象。<br><br>在爵士樂音樂外交的場合中，緬甸與美國各有想表述的政治立場，音樂的交流則被掩蓋。不過，在美國政府眼中鐵幕極權、不具有自由與個人主義特色的緬甸音樂，實際上也有類似爵士樂豐富、自由的音樂形式——塞恩樂團就是最好的例子。",

"desc": "<div><span>緬甸文化代表團在1955年9月首次造訪中國的北京，官方報紙《人民日報》以全版的篇幅，刊登緬甸樂舞藝術的介紹文章、舞者速寫。<br></span><br>當年10月，代表團前往廣州演出時，出生於緬甸摩谷，但長居在廣州的緬華移民張新民參與了文化代表團在當地的演出。他回憶，這場演出以國家樂團的傳統音樂演奏為序曲，中間有註明彎琴手吳巴丹的獨奏，也有歌唱家演唱《中緬友誼之歌》等具有外交意義的歌曲，以及身著緬甸、中國、印度、印尼、錫蘭（今斯里蘭卡）五國服飾的合唱，傳達和平反戰的呼籲。舞蹈與戲劇方面有古典的獨舞、四人舞、長鼓舞、「阿迎」（阿佞）舞蹈和戲劇《追鹿》，獲得廣州觀眾的熱烈迴響。<br></div>",

"desc": "<br>1960年緬甸與中國政府簽訂兩國的邊界條約，緬甸也在當年10月的中國國慶期間，由緬甸總理吳努率領文化代表團再次造訪北京，舉行「緬甸文化週」，而成員包含傳統表演藝術、當時的新媒體藝術電影與華僑中學代表團等。代表團除了登上天安門城樓觀禮國慶遊行，也受邀至北京人民大會堂表演，包含由知名歌手U Aung Gyi演唱中國著名的愛國歌曲〈歌唱祖國〉、郭緬生編導的〈織網姑娘〉等節目內容。<span><br><br>團員朱雪璋回憶這趟中國行，受到「國賓」般的待遇，除了與時任中國總理周恩來、第一代領導人毛澤東見面，也參觀了故宮、頤和園，在北京行程結束後團員轉往上海演出，並在上海製片廠拍攝紀錄片、杭州西湖遊覽等等。<br></span><br><br>",
