The online exhibition \u201c<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/openmuseum.tw\/muse\/curation\/79bc4809bc6ee7123e08c159ed699d45\">Exploring\nthe Stories of the Ruins of Yin Excavation Together with the Archaeologists<\/a>,\u201d\nin addition to introducing the archaeological knowledge and artifacts of Yinxu,\nshows the notable figures who participated in the Yinxu excavation team, as\nwell as related anecdotes from their fieldwork during 1928\u20131937.<span><br><br><\/span><span>\u2605<span>&nbsp;<span>People<br><\/span><\/span><\/span>The exhibition records the life stories of the researchers and important\nstaff of the IHP who participated in the fifteen archaeological excavations of\nYinxu. Furthermore, it outlines and contextualizes the working atmosphere and\ngeneral environment surrounding the Yinxu excavation from the perspective of\nthese protagonists.<br><br><span>\u2605<span>&nbsp;<span>Stories<br><\/span><\/span><\/span>The exhibition revolves around three themes: \u201c<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/openmuseum.tw\/muse\/exhibition\/087ff3093061c70984a697961f1ce8e5\">Difficulties and\nChallenges Encountered during the Excavation<\/a>,\u201d \u201c<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/openmuseum.tw\/muse\/exhibition\/9a4e79a35baa3eaf13f229e6c73d8b18\">The Educational Mission of the\nYinxu Excavation Team<\/a>,\u201d and \u201c<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/openmuseum.tw\/muse\/exhibition\/da2ea40477db4436824fe47dc3569c14\">Introduction of the Excavation Sites and Office\nLocations<\/a>.\u201d Moreover, \u201cExcavation Anecdotes\u201d takes advantage of old photographs\nand precious oral history materials to further introduce their fieldwork.<br><br>\u2605&nbsp;Time\n<br>\u201c<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/openmuseum.tw\/events\/straight_adv\/174074\">Chronology of the Yinxu Excavation by the IHP<\/a>\u201d not only clearly records\nthe important events that took place over the course of the excavation, but\nalso provides relevant pictures, introductions of figures, exhibitions, etc.,\nallowing viewers to enter the glory of the golden age of archaeology in the\nearly years of the Republic of China.<br><br><span>\u2605<span>&nbsp;Places<br><\/span><\/span><span>\u201c<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/openmuseum.tw\/embed\/anotation\/173604?scroll_dis=1\">Entering the Sites<\/a>\u201d shows in detail all the working areas of the Yinxu\nexcavation sites around Anyang, Henan, on a map that offers various functions. By\nclicking on the palace or royal tomb areas, users can further focus on the\nintroductions of these sites, leading visitors to \u201cwalk into\u201d the sites and\ngain a better understanding of Yin-Shang culture from the context of the\nunearthed artifacts.<br><\/span><br><span>\u2605<span>&nbsp;Artifacts<br><\/span><\/span>There have been more than 100,000 precious artifacts unearthed from\nYinxu. Within the processes\nof urban development, various construction projects and development activities\nare realized seemingly daily. In order to prevent these buried sites from being\ndamaged, the government thus needs to conduct comprehensive surveys and assessments.<br><br>\u2022&nbsp;<span>Taking the \u201cArchaeological Site Comprehensive Survey Project in the\nTaiwan-Fujian Area\u201d as an example, these types of surveys and assessments\ninclude gathering archaeological site information, conducting field surveys,\nresearch, and organizing the results of such efforts.<br><\/span><br>\u2022&nbsp;The artifacts, ecological remains, and various features that are\nunearthed or discovered at any archaeological site tell the story of human\nactivities taking place at that time. They are markedly important materials for\nstudying prehistoric cultures and cannot be ignored or destroyed lightly.<br><br>\u2022&nbsp;Through the&nbsp;\u201c<a target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/archaeogis.ihp.sinica.edu.tw\/map\/#\/gis\">Geographic Information System of Archaeological Sites\nin Taiwan<\/a>\u201d&nbsp;below,&nbsp;you can examine an overview of the
