[英文]Caption trans.:@Paiwan maiden.@ Riban no tomo caption: @Aborigine-Border Scenery no. 5: Paiwan maiden from Chaozhou county, Amawan village.@ Lan Yin-ting/Yinding (1903-1979) trained under Japanese artist Ishikawa Kinichiro at the Taipei normal school, and went on to become a very prominent figure in Taiwanese painting (Liao 2006, p. 8-9). Several of Lan$s watercolors appeared in the 1930s in publications of the @Friends of Aborigine Administration@ an organ of the Japanese colonial government (Riban no tomo) and (H. Suzuki 1935).
