金紙與補運錢 Gold Papers and Fortune-Replenishing Money

台灣的金紙與補運錢，出展於中研院民族所博物館「人類學家的錢包」特展。進錢補運儀式特別需要用到「運金」，以及吊掛有色高錢（代表五行的精氣神），神明也會依照信徒個人運氣、八字等指示燒化不同數量的金紙。一般信徒燒化紙錢是交換的概念，進獻紙錢換得神明給予好運氣，或與冤家鬼煞和解。

內容描述

Gold papers and fortune-replenishing money in Taiwan, presented in the exhibition "Anthropologists' Money Bag" of the Museum of the Institute of Ethnology. The ritual of offering money for replenishing fortune specifically requires “fortune gold” and the hanging of colorful money (representing the five elements’ [wuxing] essence, qi, and spirit [jing, qi, shen]). The gods would also indicate the quantity of gold papers to be burned according to the four pillars of destiny (Ba-Zi) and specific fortune of the believer. The burning of spirit money is transactional for the believer. Spirit money is offered to gods in exchange for better fortunes; or to placate unhappy spirits by resolve grudges.
