[英文]Due to the construction of Keelung Harbor, sand and stones dug from the sea bottom were used for land reclamation. Japanese also reorganized the streets in the city, transforming them into chessboard-like and constructing new train stations, post offices, Harbor Office Building and other public facilities. However, most of those facilities were destroyed during the second world war (NCL).
