所羅門群島貝珠錢(bata wawa),為最華麗、價值最高之貝珠錢,使用最好的 romu(紅色)貝珠,中間為網狀編織;在婚禮中,主要致贈給新娘母親。中研院民族所博物館為「人類學家的錢包」特展,自所羅門群島購入、入藏。
Bata Wawa, shell money from the Solomon Islands, is the most resplendent and valuable one with the best red beads (romu) and net-weaving pattern in the middle. At a wedding, Bata Wawa is the gift presented to the bride's mother. This item is purchased by the Museum of the Institute of Ethnology for the exhibition "Anthropologists' Money Bag".
