Since these houses were modeled on actual dwellings of southern Aborigines, they use them as inns when they come down from the mountains to visit the towns. They also serve the function of introducing tourists to the customs of the southern Aborigines. It has become a perfect sightseeing locale.@ (Yamazaki 1934, p. 47).
