[英文]The title should read, @New building of the Taiwan government, Formosa (1)@ 臺灣總督府由長野宇平治、森山松之助設計，於大正8年(1919)落成，主體平面呈「日」字形，為五層樓建築物，立面充滿文藝復興時期特色。昭和20年(1945)5月31日遭美軍軍機轟炸，損害部分為正面大門中央塔、左側升降機、樓梯間和辦公室二間，靠近臺灣銀行的一樓及北側辦公室亦有若干損害，光復後由張金鎔、張祖濬、劉漢傑及李重耀等共同修復設計，建築物更名為介壽館，成為中華民國總統府，為國定古蹟。(參見總統府網頁，http://www.president.gov.tw/1_art/build/work.html) English Translation: The building of Taiwan government was designed by Moriyama Matsunosuke 森山松之助 and Nagano Uheiji 长野宇平治, established in 1919. The shape of the main building is like 「日」. The building has five floors, full of features of Renaissance architecture. However, it was bombed by American military airplanes on May 31st, 1945. The central tower at the front gate, elevator on the left, stairs and two office rooms were damaged, as well as the first floor close to Taiwan bank and office rooms on the north side. After Taiwan reclamation, Zhang Jinrong, Zhang Zurui, Liu Hanjie and Li Chongyao repaired the building together, and renamed it as Jieshou Guan. The place became the hause for President of the Republic of China, listed as national historic relics (NCL).
