1945年11月1日，臺灣省行政長官公署交通處接收臺灣總督府交通局，會議桌右起第6位為當時交通處處長嚴家淦先生。
On November 1, 1945, with Japan having lost the war, the Taiwan Provincial Government took over from the Office of the Governor-General of Taiwan. The Transportation Bureau was taken over by the Transportation Department. Seated at the conference table (sixth right) is Yen Chia-kan, then Director of the Transportation Department.
