[英文]This motif, women doing laundry on a riverside or lake shore, is common in postcards of Taiwan and colonial Korea. Professor Hyung Gu Lynn has noted that @Images of Korean women doing laundry... seemed to have held a mesmerizing allure for postcard producers and consumers alike@ (Lynn 2007, p. 9). Warner$s collection contains two such postcards, though one of them features two boys and a woman 0035. This image closely resembles it Korean counterpart as illustrated by figure 6 in Lynn (2007).
