Shamanism is a belief prominent among northern races, especially influencing the lives, customs and ritualistic activities of the Manchu people. This piece employs Manchu melodies to represent scenes in rituals, such as the offering of incense, the invitation, dancing and sending off of Gods. The unique style and structure, plus an unusual orchestration give this piece a mysterious character.(This piece won Third Prize in the Chamber Music category at the 23 Council of Cultural Affairs Traditional Music Composition Contest.)
