越南的紙錢,仿製美金式樣且具有不同幣值,購自越南,出展於中研院民族所博物館「人類學家的錢包」特展。越南人認為越戰期間的大量死者,包括了南越人和美國人,且死者們不認識當前通行的「胡志明貨幣」,只認得當時的通用貨幣美金,因此在死者的社會中反而是美金最為通用。
Vietnamese spirit money in the design of the U.S. dollar with different denominations, purchased from Vietnam and presented in the exhibition "Anthropologists' Money Bag" of the Museum of the Institute of Ethnology. Vietnamese believe the majority of South Vietnamese and Americans who died during the Vietnam War period would not recognize the “Ho Chi Min currency,” but only the U.S. dollar which was widely circulated at their time of death. Hence, the U.S. dollar would be more useful in the society of the deceased.
