[英文]Baijo Boueru バイジョ・ボーエル of Temokubonai テモクボナイ village in Xinzhu prefecture. Suzuki refers to him as a paramount chief 総頭目 of the Beishi/Hokusei tribe 北勢蕃. One hand on his sheath, the other drawing a large dagger. H. Suzuki placed this man under the @Atayal@ ethnic designation, while Warner or an associate wrote @Bunun@ on the back of this photo.
