佛光山佛陀紀念館位於台灣高雄市大樹區，占地五十公頃，2011年落成。1998年星雲大師至印度菩提伽耶傳授國際三壇大戒，當時西藏喇嘛貢噶多傑仁波切，感念佛光山長期促進世界佛教漢藏文化交流，是弘揚人間佛教的正信道場，遂表達贈送護藏近30年的佛牙舍利心願。星雲大師為此珍貴的宗教遺產而建館至今，秉持「以人為本」推動社會終身教育，是綜合性最強並極具特色的博物館。 The Fo Guang Shan Buddha Museum is a Buddhist cultural, religious and educational museum located in Dashu District, Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The museum houses one of the tooth relics of Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of the Buddhist faith. The museum was accepted as the youngest member of the International Council of Museums (ICOM) in 2014. Since 2015, the museum has been certified ISO 50001:2011 by the Quality management system.
